Twenty-five….that’s how many times Sterling Lorence’s photos have graced the cover of Bike magazine. In fact, our latest issue–the Photo Annual–sports yet another one of his images. While that may not sound earth shattering to everyone, many accomplished professional photographers never snag even a single cover of Bike, much less the issue dedicated to the year’s best mountain biking imagery.

In recognition of Lorence’s achievement, Bike‘s publisher, Morgan Meredith, made a surprise visit to Sterling’s house in Vancouver in order to drop off a framed copy of the latest issue. Check out the clip for some insight from Sterling on his favorite covers of Bike and the challenges of nailing that perfect shot that so often slips by in 1/500th of a second.
