Sending Corbet’s Couloir on a Bike

Cam McCaul and Casey Brown ride one of the most famous ski runs in the U.S.

If you are a skier or a snowboarder, chances are you’ve heard of Corbet’s Couloir. Perched high up on Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s flank, Corbet’s is framed by towering rock walls  pinching together in a cliff. This cliff is the entrance. The mandatory huck thrusts skiers (and now bikers) onto a 10-foot wide chute that opens quickly to a snowfield. The 45-degree slope at the top mellows to a still-puckering 40 degrees the rest of the way down. Corbet’s Couloir has been touted as one of the scariest ski runs in North America.

All of this didn’t stop Cam McCaul and Casey Brown from giving it a go on their bikes. The two dropped into Corbet’s and after styling that, shredded down the rest of the mountain in what look to be pristine spring conditions.
