Purest Line with Finn Iles
Whistler, B.C.-local Finn Iles has already accomplished more in his four years as a pro mountain biker than most athletes could hope to achieve over the course of an entire career (or two). On the cusp of his 18th birthday, he is well-known on the competition circuit, from petitioning to enter, then winning Whip Off Worlds at 14 to taking the overall in the BC Cup Championships in 2013, winning Junior Downhill World Champs last year, and most recently clinching the 2017 Junior Downhill World Cup overall title. In "Purest Line," Iles turned his attention from dirt to pavement, rallying through the narrow, cobblestone streets of Quebec City.
After dominating the UCI Junior World Cup circuit this year, the Alberta-born mountain bike phenom will transition to the professional circuit at the end of this season. "When I'm on my bike, I don't really think about anything else but riding," says the recent high-school grad. "You're just in the moment. It's an awesome feeling to be able to do what you love."
