The DH bike industry is an interesting beast. It brings in little revenue to a brand’s bottom line, yet hemorrhages development costs. Testing and refining during the World-Cup circuit further depletes bean-counter’s patience. In other words, an inordinate amount of budget flows to speed, not style. And this is why there are also slopestyle bikes. But, Louis Reboul and Anthony Rocci don’t care. They’re taking DH machines--the Formula One of riding--and boosting gaps while dripping with style. Turns out, big bikes work pretty well for that too.
