Videos: Suzuki Nine Knights MTB 2014 short films
Following the photo competition in aesthetic appeal, the Suzuki Nine Knights MTB 2014 video competition has wrapped up. Selected film makers were on site to create short clips, featuring the stellar action from the week-long event. The film teams documented the athletes in the high-alpine tundra, the trails of Mottolino Fun Mountain and of course, the insane Il Castello bike park. Each film team took on their own unique theme: utilizing fireworks, documenting the area's rich history, showcasing pure action, etc.
Judged by their peers at the award night, it was the all-Swede team, lead by filmer Simon Duse, who came out on top as the winner of the team battle taking the coveted "Best Film" title.
“I really liked the team format, it made the whole event so personal and created a great atmosphere!”, Duse said.
Bringing creativity to the game, all teams worked tightly together, with Team Hadrien Picard–the French team–featured an 'inner child' theme, while Team Mario Feil poured inspiration from Livigno’s smuggling history and the story behind the bike trails. Team El Flamingo used fireworks to light up the action on all the obstacles and focused on getting the maximum out of the course, as well as, on the freeride trails.
The results are inspiring, mesmerizing and simply entertaining! Crack a beer, sit back and enjoy the unique masterpieces!
