Rocks, roots and ancient trails were in store for round three of the Enduro World Series in Olargues, France. The Giant Factory Off-Road Team made sure to show up a few days early to get familiar with the trails and set up their bikes for the two-day race. Day one started strong for the team, with Josh Carlson taking fourth place on stage two and Raewyn Morrison landing her first career stage win on stage four. Morrison continued to carry momentum into day two, taking two fifth place stage results and landing in seventh at the end of the race. Carlson didn’t fare so well, with a mechanical taking him out of the running at the end of day two. Mckay Vezina rode conservatively through the weekend, avoiding injuries and mechanicals while still posting strong times, landing him in 22nd overall.
The Giant team now has a few weeks to focus on individual races before convening in Jamnica, Slovenia for round four of the EWS on June 30.
