The desert bluffs in British Columbia or Utah are at the receiving end of most of the freeride hype in the mountain bike world. But travel half a world away and Queenstown, New Zealand, might deserve just as much attention. The slopes are steep, the scree is loose and the access isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it. Antoine Buffart, Olivier Cuvet and Arthur Chambre packed into a van and took to the hills, exploring the backcountry of Queenstown.
