World Cup Wrap-Up: La Bresse

Greg Minnaar en route to the top of the podium

South Africa’s Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate) took to the top step of the podium on Sunday, while the big news was Aaron Gwin’s (Trek World Racing) third-place finish to lock up the overall points title. With the title in the bag, Gwin will be the first ever American to win UCI World Cup Downhill title. Slotting in between Minnaar and Gwin was Gee Atherton (Commencal).

On the women’s side, Trek World Racing had yet another strong showing with Tracey Mosely grabbing a solid first-place finish. Floriane Pugin’s (Scott11 Racing Team) second place limited her losses in the overall points classification, but with Mosely’s win her lead now grows to 150 points over Pugin.
