Generally considered one of, if not the best trail network on Colorado’s Front Range, there’s no place more fitting to conclude our four-part ‘Riding the Range’ series than White Ranch. Located just outside of downtown Golden, this is a true mountain-biker’s network.

White Ranch’s Belcher Hill is an infamously brutal climb-it isn’t especially technical but the grade is enough to merit its name, with just about every rider who points his or her wheel up it regretting the decision-until they reach the top, that is. The descent is littered with drops, berms, technical sections and brake-begging views, making the tough climb completely worth it.
