For the third part of our ‘Riding the Range’ series, photographer Liam Doran met up with the Free Radicals crew–a group of van-living, enduro-racing, trail-riding and fun-having guys consisting of Will Cadham, Ben Forbes and Mark Taylor. The guys headed out to the small town of Lyons, Colorado, about a half-hour north of Boulder, to ride the Hall Ranch trails. Once there, they met up with a few folks from Hotbox/Reeb/Oskar Blues–namely Chad Melis (general ripper and marketing director for Oskar Blues), Mike Murfitt (works for Hotbox Roasters) and Chris Sulfrian (Reeb bike builder).

You likely know Oskar Blues for its beer, but the brand owns a slew of businesses, including Hotbox Roasters and Reeb Cycles, which specializes in steel and titanium hardtails.

The crew from Oskar Blues led a rollicking ride around the Hall Ranch trails, which are fast and fun, swooping through grassland and ponderosa stands. The ride was followed up with a dip in St. Vrain Creek, which runs through Lyons and is only a few blocks from Oskar Blues’ Blues Bar.

Once cooled off, the team headed to nearby Longmont to check out Oskar Blues’ operation, including the Cyclehops Restaurant, which, true to form on the Front Range, has a bike shop inside.

Enjoy the photos, and look for part four next Monday.
