Texas' Spider Mountain Bike Park Hosting Eclipse Viewing Party
The Texas hill country is slated to get a special eclipse experience on Monday, April 8th, and Spider Mountain bike park is capitalizing on the opportunity by offering special eclipse viewing tickets.
There will be no bike access that day unfortunately due to the "high traffic." See the park's official announcement below.
The lifts will be spinning from 8 am to 4 pm and as mentioned above, bikes will not be allowed. Viewers will be encouraged to utilize the Eagle View Hiking Trail to view the eclipse on foot and scenic chair rides with no walking will be running all day long.
Hiking tickets exclude any lift access and are on Spider's website for $50. Scenic chairlift rides start at $100 for all day access. Parking is not included with either option and is $20 with limited availability per Spider Mountain's website.
For comparison's sake, a regular bike haul pass at the park comes in at $65 with scenic chairlift rides and hiking coming out to $15 altogether. A single regular day hiking pass with no lift access is typically $5.
