Riders' Lives Flashes Before Their Eyes As They Nearly Collide Mid Air
There is nothing quite like lapping your favorite bike park line with your best riding buddy. Being able to feed off one another and push yourselves is one of the best parts of mountain biking.
But, when you're riding loose and having fun with your crew, it can lead to some close calls. Take a look at one example of a very close call below.
This is quite a multifaceted clip if you think about it. The close call at the beginning sets the tone, shredding is enjoyed, then shredding is enjoyed too much at the end when Nikolaj's wheel explodes from slapping a corner too hard.
Really that should be a metaphor for the arc of a weekend at the bike park: close calls that don't end in disaster lead to pushing harder which leads to exploding bike parts. It's the circle of life in a way.
All I can say for sure is that I cannot wait until park season fires back up. I think that echoes the sentiments of everyone who rides bikes at this time in December.
