The UCI World Cup Downhill season finished off in spectacular fashion this morning on the steep and raw terrain of Val di Sole in Northern Italy. Aaron Gwin secured his overall win after a season that included a chainless victory in Leogang. Rachel Atherton secured the women’s overall title with her win two weeks ago in Windham, and her victory lap this morning earned her yet another first-place finish. With six World Cup wins in 2015, she nearly swept the season. Junior overall winner Laurie Greenland has been on fire all season, but had to settle for third today.
