Remi Gauvin Sidelined by Concussion at Early Season Downhill Race

The Canadian enduro star missed an important block of preseason races.

Remi Gauvin is a longtime racer in the Enduro World Cup. This offseason, Gauvin announced he was riding for a new team, though he will have the same frame sponsor.

Unfortunately, Remi hit a roadblock in his preseason racing when he suffered a concussion practicing for a downhill race.

Gauvin was racing at the Northwest Cup in Port Angeles, Washington when he suffered a concussion in a crash in practice. The crash forced Remi to sit out from the Northwest Cup and his local Squamish Enduro the following weekend.

Thankfully, Remi was still able to cheer on his friends and enjoy the atmosphere.

Remi hopes to be back on form for the first round of the Enduro World Cup in Pietra Ligure in late May.

Remi Gauvin is a canadian professional enduro racer who has been on multiple World Enduro podiums.

For years he rode on the Rocky Mountain Raceface team alongside Jesse Melamed and Andréanne Lanthier Nadeau. Their race antics were documented in the popular web series The Jank Files.

In 2024, Remi will be racing on the newly released Rocky Mountain Altitude, along with new components. We at BIKE wish Remi Luck getting up to speed on his new ride in the first round of racing.
