Olympian Erin Huck Balances Motherhood With Racing
There are a lot of sacrifices that go into professional racing. Getting to and staying at that level requires painstaking amounts of training. It is even harder when you have a family.
Erin Huck is a great example of this. Huck is a World Cup cross country racer who now specailizes in Marathon discipline, despite having a child and a career. Watch her family, known as Team Huck Support her at the Snowshoe West Virginia Marathon World Cup.
This video documents Erin Huck and her family as she takes on the World Cup at Snowshoe. Huck’s whole family is on board.
“Team Huck Yeah” as it is called is an important support network for Erin at these races. Her Husband Andrew is her mechanic, and her young son Brennen is for moral support.
See the pair act as a pit crew below.
In a long race, a support crew can be the perfect motivation.
Despite having a full-time job and a family, Huck managed to place 5th at Snowshoe.
To be able to balance all those things is incredibly impressive. Erin Huck is truly a force of nature.
