Marcelo Gutierrez, Danny Hart and Connor Fearon take a sweep for the SRAM team in the Canadian Open DH.
With a mix of steep rock features, relentless wheel-grabbing root sections and tight technical trees, the infamous Canadian Open DH course is a true downhill race for the world's elite. Under sunny blue skies, crowds poured in and lined the hillside, anxiously awaiting racers to hit the mountain. Connor Fearon (Kona) would set a commanding tone taking the lead early on. Former downhill World Champion, Danny Hart (Giant Factory Off-Road Race Team), would eventually come down only hundredths of a second ahead of Fearon, seeming to have an unbeatable time on the deteriorating course. Danny Hart comes through a rough-rooted section looking calm, as he ousts Fearon for the lead by just hundredths of a second. But it wouldn’t be enough to keep Gutierrez from the top spot. Photo by Adrian Marcoux.
