There is a serious grain of truth to Kirt's joke here: professional riders are struggling to make the whole mountain bike thing work as a career right now. Those who rely on their sponsors for not only their income, but their means of support in races or contests are scrambling to make something work to get to all the events they need to in order to support themselves.
