If you’ve ever purchased a part from your local bike shop (and we’re guessing you have), chances are that part was distributed from the manufacturer to your LBS by Quality Bicycle Products. Serving over 5,000 retailers, QBP has been in the business of furthering and bettering the bike community for more than 35 years. It had made a name for itself with its progressive business models, and it’s even parented well-known brands like Surly, Salsa, Problem Solvers and Whisky Parts.
QBP is also committed to expanding the industry in meaningful ways—it sponsors a women’s mechanic scholarship that sends 32 female mechanics to United Bicycle Institute each year, and is now accepting applications for its Equity and Diversity Internship program. Internships take place this summer from June 10-August 16 at QBP headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Eligible applicants include students who are members of underrepresented communities and identities and/or students with a demonstrated commitment towards advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Interns will work side-by-side with QBP employees, and there are a variety of positions open across departments including marketing, engineering, IT, purchasing, and more. For more details, check out the QBP Equity and Diversity Internship webpage. https://qbp.com/equity-and-diversity-internship
