Afghanistan isn’t a place for the faint of heart. If you want a simple, carefree vacation, the remote and unforgiving wilderness of the Wakhan Corridor probably shouldn’t top your list of must-ride destinations. But this didn’t stop Matt Hunter and the crew from Anthill Films from venturing into the mountain-choked vastness to create their latest film, Forgotten Dirt.

Why this little-known, desolate corner of Afghanistan?

Bike magazine’s editor, Brice Minnigh, was part of the expedition and he chronicles the story in this, our first-ever web magazine dedicated to a single story. Click on the cover and check out more than 50 pages of Dan Milner’s outstanding photography and some storytelling that will make you feel like you were part of the adventure. Like what you see? Stay tuned for a feature story in the November issue of Bike.
