E-Biker Reveals The 'Mantra' Every Rider Agrees To
When riders purchase an e-bike, they can sometimes feel a bit of embarrassment about utilizing electric assistance.
To mock this instinct, electric rider Richard Hurst made a comedic video about the mantra of electric bikers.
In this video, Hurst, who has an incredible instagram handle, mocked the instincts of electric bikers to feel the need to justify their choice by repeating the mantra:
I get out more often, I ride further, I mostly ride in eco, it's still a great workout.
At the end of the day, riders just need to hold compassion for others. If e-biking is not for you, fine, but it is still rude to denigrate others who run one. As long as riding a pedal-assist bike is legal at your trail system, what is the big deal?
Frequently, groups of friends have a tipping point for electric bikes. If a critical mass in the group gets them, it is only a matter of time before the rest of them join in out of FOMO.
Rich Hurst is the managing director at the bicycle component company Wren Sports Europe.
