Builders Revive Decade Old Creek Gap

It is a sad reality that some trails do not get maintained and will fall into disrepair.

Thankfully some riders take it upon themselves to revive and touch up old trails. Watch riders from the mapping software SNIK revamp a relic trail below.

In this video, Scott Mackay and a friend went out and revamped an old trail including a a creek gaap. Though they appeared to retain the original wood, they poured a ton of work into the landing. As you can see, the drop works well.

Given that there is a raging stream below, it is no surprise that the landing needed to be rebuilt. Snowmelt and heavy rain can make creeks like that flow heavily and the landing protrudes into it.

Though it may need a rebuild eventually, the landing is dialed right now. These riders did a good job on the rebuild.

In a region like British Columbia that has so many old classic trails, revamping them can be a full-time job. Watch a video of one rider's reclamation project below.
