It is no secret that the landscape of the professional world of action sports has changed considerably from even five years ago. Gone are the days of the magazine cover or the video part being all an athlete needed to make their career.
There isn't as much mystique with the constant exposure athletes are entangled in through social media. That being said, don't take it from me, listen to the GOAT himself - Brandon Semenuk - talk about it in this interview clip below.
Brandon is all business. That side of him has been revealed as he's come more into the public sphere through interviews and podcasts. He was notoriously reserved for the bulk of his career so it was difficult for fans to get a sense of the man under the helmet.
Which is fine, his riding spoke for itself and the mystique he created around himself was part of what made him the best to ever do it in the freestyle/video part sphere. But, it is still cool to get some insight into who he is as a person and how all that contributes to his tenacious attitude on the bike and in front of the lens.
