Rider Shreds BMX Inspired Feature In The Woods

The revolution is here

BMX has been slowly infiltrating the culture and style of mountain biking for a lot longer than most of us realize. It's probably been 20 or so years now since Kirt Voreis was putting out street edits on his mountain bike and now, the tables have turned.

Instead of taking mountain bikes to the streets, riders are taking BMX features and filming to the woods. Take a look at Brendan Conroy hitting one down below.

In a sea of flow trails and relative uniformity among a large chunk of modern trails, seeing these sorts of out of the box features and strange lines makes it known that there is still some level of rebelliousness and underground appeal in the sport.

That isn't an indictment of modern mountain biking so much as it is a nod of appreciation toward those who are outside of the mainstream of the sport but are quietly pushing the culture from underneath.
