Best Action Drone Shots From 2023 World Cup

Anyone else missing the World Cups already?

We still have a long, sad winter to weather before World Cup racing starts back up again. And while the thought of that is depressing, we can look at this as a time for ponderance and deep reflection on how cool racing is.

One way to do that is by appreciating some of the enhanced camera work that was brought to the races this last season. Take a look at some of the best World Cup drone shots of 2023 below.

While Discovery and subsequently GCN+'s takeover of live racing coverage from Red Bull wasn't exactly the most well received, it did at least provide some more cool camera work.

A couple of things we'd like to see next year are more reliable camerawork and consistent angles that really capture the action. Better commentating, I know I'm just nostalgic for Rob Warner, but can you blame me? And finally, just a more readily accessible broadcast. It was a confusing hassle to watch the World Cups this year and I think I speak for everyone - especially in light of stateside race coverage currently being in limbo - when I say we just want an easy way to watch the races.

Anyway, we will see if any of that actually gets implemented moving forward, but in the meantime, at least race fans have the new Australian Hardline to look forward to in February. Stay tuned for more details on that as it gets closer.
