Angel Suarez Leaving Primal Unno Downhill Team

Team Rumor Season is upon us

Around New Year's, there is not a lot going on in the bike world. There are very few events, and athletes are quietly steeped in their off-season training.

The one area where fans of the sport stay entertained is by following the game of musical chairs when racers clamor to sign with new teams. This speculation has already begun. On December 24, 2023, Angel Suarez announced he would be off of the Primal Unno.

This announcement is one of the first dominoes to fall in the world of downhill team rumors. This year is an especially weird one as bike brands are not selling all their product and have a vast overstock. Marketing is usually the first on the chopping block in situations like this.

This was what happened with Primal Unno. Angel says the team discontinued as Unno buckles up for a bumpy year selling bikes.

Angel Suarez is a Spanish downhill racer. Though he struggled in 2023, Suarez has been a consistent threat for the top 10 in World Cup racing, and even gotten on the podium twice. It is not clear who Angel will ride for in 2024.

Stay tuned for more coverage of team rumors season.
