Sized for short-to-middlin' day-riding, the Journey 10L blends compact design with efficient use of space, and a carefully designed approach to keeping your drink cold. The design is centered around Hydro Flask's multi-part Cold Flow system; externally, an articulated back panel separates the pack from your body, letting air flow to both your body and your beverages. Internally, the hydration reservoir fits into a reflective-insulated sleeve, further warding against the intrusion of external heat. The final component of this campaign to keep drinks cold is the reservoir itself – HydraPak Isobound insulation works with the other features of the pack to ensure that whatever is inside the reservoir will stay refreshing and cold for over four hours.

The pack itself is made from a tear-and-abrasion-resistant, waterproof Nylon fabric. All sewn seams are taped internally, and the zipper closures are also water-resistant. In the case of the Journey 10L, there's an external front pocket for storage of essential items, a separate small cell-phone sized side pocket, an elastic stash compartment inside the main pack, and enough internal room for rain gear and warm layers. The HydraPak reservoir hose features a magnetic attachment to the pack strap, and a free-flowing, BPA food-grade bite valve that can be closed fully to prevent any unwanted accidental leakage.
