Etnies has been making shoes for more than 30 years, but only recently has it turned its attention toward the mountain bike crowd. This summer it announced a partnership with Brandon Semenuk, as well as a new signature shoe, the Jameson Mid CRANK, that would be released at a later point in time. It’s now that time.
Semenuk’s signature shoe is designed with stylistic influences from Etnies’ skate heritage, but built to the performance standards of a world-class rider like Semenuk. The shank in the Jameson is made to provide a balance between stiffness and pedal feel, which reflects Semenuk’s slopestyle background, in which the stiffest shoe might not be the right grip choice, but too much flex makes for uncomfortable landings.
Etnies has also made sure to include the little features that can make a world of difference in mountain bike shoes, including an asymmetrical collar and additional padding on the medial inside of the shoes for extra protection.
Coming in two color-ways, and half sizes, the Jameson Mid CRANK is available now from the Etnies web store for $100.
