Industry Nine has announced a new alloy rim to its already well known Trail lineup. The maker of rainbow wheels and loud hubs will replace its popular Trail245 with the new-and-improved Trail270. Which, of course, will also be available in any color combination and with loud hubs.
As the name suggests, this is a trail-focused rim. So don’t expect anything super wide or DH-worthy. That isn’t to say these rims can’t take a hit though. Industry Nine took design elements from its Enduro305 and Grade300 downhill rims to make the Trail270 the company’s most impact-resistant Trail rim yet. And being a Trail rim, there are some perks. Namely, the new rims are lighter than their burlier brothers.
The rims are available with 32 or 24 holes and come in 27.5- or 29-inch sizes. For the 27.5-inch size, the 32-hole wheels will weigh in at 1,560 grams, and the more supple 24-hole wheels will tip the scales at 1,480 grams. The 29-inch sizes will weigh 1,650 grams and 1,560 grams for the 32-, and 24-hole options, respectively. The rims have an inner width of 27 millimeters for a recommended tire range of 2.2 to 2.5 inches.
The wheels will retail for $1,225 if you want the 24-hole option, or $1,245 for 32 holes.
