For the first time, SRAM is offering a complete collection of parts. Operating under the X7 moniker, the setup was created for mid level XC, DH, and freeriders- or anyone who doesn't have a professional paycheck at their disposal.

First and foremost, SRAM X7 features a 2×10 drivetrain, which echoes SRAM's XX system. The 2×10 concept is making waves among bike nerds, offering a full range of gears with less weight and smoother, faster shifting than the traditional 3×9 gear option. It's elite technology offered at an entry-level price.

The X7 group also includes a few other choice morsels, like the carbon cage rear derailleur, which is light, sleek, and compatible with both XC and downhill rigs. Another notable feature is the S1400 2X10 crankset, with hollow-formed crank arms and an ingeniously sealed ceramic-bearing bottom bracket.

Of course, all the parts in the X7 lineup are color coordinated to look as sexy as possible together. Stay tuned for more developments from SRAM.
