Video: “Trail Stewards of the Lost Sierra”
Inspiring documentary spotlighting the organizers of the Downieville Classic
The documentary, “Trail Stewards of the Lost Sierra,” spotlights California’s Northern Sierra model trailbuilding group. Through interviews with Greg Williams, Tara Stone and various other staff members, the film details the makings of the Stewardship and all they do for the Sierra and Plumas counties. The group organizes the widely popular Downieville Classic, Lost and Found gravel grinder and a 50-kilometer endurance run. Its full-time crew maintains 150 miles of multi-use trails, while building 50 miles of new trails and running a nationally known student trailbuilding program.
