Dear Sirs: It looks like you are a mostly trail/Mt-riding mag? I have an idea for you. Do you ever have “project-bikes” , where you take parts and build a “Bike Magazine” Special? –Best parts from all your advertisers. Get the locals in a group/units of wrenches eager/willing to put them together in the 10 major US cities, and then have a “city-suburban” race series utilizing those cities’ bike paths, with your/others bikes raffled for charities, at race’s end? The “Bike Magazine International City-suburban”, or just, “Bike Mag’s InterNational” It could be “international”, because winners from each city get to compete with winners from, say, EU cities, IN those cities. The EU probably has larger pools of full-time riders, but we probably have material expertise/sports-med science that could even things out. I’d operate OUTSIDE of the French organ that oversees the Tour. If you are ALSO “into” commuting, the USA workers are currently aging. Could you explore lever-/linear-”Alanex-type”-pedeling bikes, because lever-/linear-pedaling is EASIER on mature joints/knees? In its last permutations, Alanex had 5-6 different modes of pedaling, which could qualify one for high-profit, low-inventory dollar-amount bikes, to be first used by perscription from Orthapedists/Physical Therapists, and later, to continue…therapy/maintain: skeletal mass/”Joie de Vivre”.
