The latest stop in America’s new pro XC tour proved to be one of the most hotly contested in the series, with exciting racing right down to the finish. Canadians won the day, with Max Plaxton narrowly beating Colorado-based Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski in the final moments of the men’s race, while Catherine Pendrel took top honors in the women’s event. Georgia Gould, who had been leading the tour after the third stop, finished fourth in Saturday’s race.

In the short track, Todd Wells took his second consecutive win, after getting a good start on a course with little room for passing. Heather Irmiger won the women’s field, beating Colorado Springs local Katie Compton.
