               <description>Costumed thrill-junkies raced through downtown Crested Butte last Friday during the city's 2009 Chainless DH race. The event was part of Fat Tire Bike Week, which also included of a 40-mile bike race, a 24-hour townie race, and enough music and beer to make anyone want to hit high speeds over asphalt while wearing a luchador-mask or some leopard-print stretch-pants. </description>

The course had been de-flagged for the third day and racers were lined up in the start chute ready to ride when the word came over event radios. </description>
