Wanted: Your Help

Young rider diagnosed with cancer. Friends seek donations to help fund recovery.

Eleven-year old rider, Alex Shepherd, was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor on April 16, 2013. Alex’s friends and family are seeking donations to help offset the costs of what will be an expensive medical procedure, and have set up this webpage to help raise funds.

The overall goal is to raise $50,000. At present, Alex’s supporters have raised a bit more than $13,000.

Alex can use your help.

Per the website itself….. “He (Alex) will undergo a very scary surgery soon, but the prognosis is very good. Alex is an amazing young man who loves to ride and race his bike with his Dad, Dan. He and his family need all of our support at this time. Our cycling family is strong, but we need everyone’s support with this challenge. Please help with anything you can.”

To help Alex, please visit the donation page here.
