Trek World Racing Calls it Quits

Trek Factory Racing will take over on the World Cup Downhill circuit

Since launching in 2009, Trek athletes have been a force to reckon with on the World Cup circuit in downhill, cross-country and enduro events, winning 4 World Championships, 5 World Cup Overall titles, 29 World Cup races and standing on 77 World Cup podiums. But after last week’s announcement of a deal with Atherton Racing creating the Trek Factory Racing Downhill Team, it’s no surprise that the Trek World Racing squad is going away. No word yet on changes to Trek’s enduro and cross-country rosters, which are part of the Factory Racing program.
