Team Monster Energy Specialized rider Sam Hill was injured this weekend while training back home in preparation for the upcoming World Cup rounds. Initial observation is that he has re-aggravated his shoulder injury sustained at Fort William during the 2010 season, but Sam will undergo an MRI first thing this week to get a proper diagnosis. At this time, it looks certain that Sam will miss the Mont-Sainte-Anne and possibly Windham World Cup rounds.

News of his injury comes with personal disappointment for Sam at a time when he was looking forward to turning his series around. “We place a high value on his contribution to the program, wish him well and hope to see him back on the bike soon” said team manager Sean Heimdal.
