News: NEMBAfest Returns to East Burke, Vermont
Register online for New England’s largest mountain bike festival
You like bikes? You appreciate good beer? Might you consider ditching your responsibilities for a weekend of railing some of the best single track in the United States? Yeah, stupid questions one and all, which is why you might want to register now for NEMBAfest, because it’s returning to Vermont’s Kingdom Trails this June (the 21st-23rd).
NEMBAfest is New England’s largest mountain bike festival. Last year, 1,231 mountain bikers gathered in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for the inaugural NEMBAfest at Kingdom Trails. The New England Mountain Bike Association, Kingdom Trails Association and Burke Mountain Resort partnered to produce the festival, and it surpassed everyone’s expectations for a first-ever festival at the fabled Kingdom Trails.
This year, the three-day event will be held at the base lodge of Burke Mountain Resort, and will feature camping, a large industry expo (with more than 50 bike industry vendors), lift-served mountain biking at the Burke Bike Park, scores of group rides, live music, local food and beer, along with various mountain bike celebrities in attendance.
“This is a great event for everyone who enjoys mountain biking, young and old,” says Philip Keyes, NEMBA’s Executive Director. “There hasn’t been a mountain bike event in the northeast this big since the heydays of Pedrosfest. We’ve always wanted to stage an event at Kingdom Trails because their trail system is one of the very best, and now that Burke Mountain Resort has embraced mountain biking we have the perfect venue.”
