Magura’s new MT 8 brake
Just when you thought you couldn’t add any more carbon to your cockpit, Magura has gone and shaken things up. Enter the new MT 8 hydraulic disc brake from Magura. Featuring a composite master cylinder, Magura has succeeded in bringing carbon where no carbon molecule has gone before.
“Carbotecture” a result of their Mission Performance project to develop “best disc bicycle brake in the world”, is a new injection-molding compound that allows Magura to construct a full-composite master cylinder, allowing them to cut weight dramatically. Time will tell whether these stoppers achieve their lofty goal of being the best in the world, but they sure do look sexy.
