Lezyne Goes Nuts With The Product Testing

New Year 6 light gets frozen, dunked in scalding espresso and still works

By Vernon Felton

We’re still a few days away from the official launch of Lezyne’s upcoming Year 6 LED line of lights, but we can safely say that the lights look to be durable. How can we say such a thing? The video below, in which the new light was switched on, put into a freezer, frozen into a block of ice, immersed in scalding espresso and, despite the over-the-top treatment, just keeps on blinking away. Impressive. And (oddly) tasty looking. We’re expecting news of the 2013 line to surface next week. Until then, check out this video.

Pretentious, over hyped and Made in China; whatever.

Just for general info, all of our lights are made in Taiwan, not mainland China.

All Lezyne lights are designed, engineered, and tested in the USA and then moved into production in our own factory in Taiwan. Nothing about our lights is “off the shelf”. We design every part, we spec all the electronic components, we design the PC board, we write all the programming, and finally we do all the assembly and QC of our lights in-house.

We take pride in the fact that we are designing everything from the ground up and in-house to ensure it lives up to the quality, performance, and reputation of Lezyne.

If anyone ever has a question about our lights or other products, everyone at Lezyne is willing to answer them.
