With the threat of a late-day storm lingering in the air, racers and slopestyle riders gathered earlier than planned in the dry and dusty mid-day heat to compete in the Dual Speed and Style event at Crankworx, Whistler. A stacked field had athletes strategizing whether speed or style was the best way to punch their ticket to the next round. Sweden’s Martin Soderstrom ramped up the speed with his signature style to take top spot over Cam Zink. While Kyle Strait edged out a front flipping Tom Van Steenbergen for third place.
