Oh sure, you can point to all the fancy booths with porn stars and disco balls and declare them the bling bling-est booths at the show, but for my money, the Henry James booth takes the prize. While there are more exciting things to look at than steel frames, bulky frame jigs and scattered lugs, what the Henry James booth offers is a promise: One day, you too can build your own bike--one that's perfectly suited to your tastes and riding style.
Want to build a full suspension bike, or a classic, Belgian racer or (what the hell) a recumbent? You can do all of the above with the guidance and tools available in the Henry James booth. Heck, if you stop by, the old man (Henry James Folson, himself) might just offer you a seat. He'll talk to you about the new lugs he's designing for mountain bikes (they'll allow for sloping top-tubes) and he'll shoot the shit about the latest grades of steel, brazing, TIG torches, you name it.

No one will try to sell you something you don't want to see. No one will trade digital cards with you or try to impress you with who they know or what they did with whom last night. You might learn something new, though, and that is a pretty cool thing, indeed.
So, who's blinging now?
