Bethel, Connecticut – October 20, 2009 – Cycling Sports Group (CSG), a cycling industry leader and a business unit of the Recreational/Leisure Segment of Dorel Industries Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A), announced today the appointment of Peter Denk as the Director of Technology for the R&D team.
As Director of Technology, Denk will lead all four CSG bicycle brands (Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose) to create innovative, high-performance products. Denk has recently collaborated with Cannondale to create the Cannondale Flash hardtail – the lightest and most efficient carbon hardtail available today.
"We are excited to have Peter join our team on a permanent basis," said Chris Peck, Vice President of Research and Development for CSG. "His work on the Flash revolutionized how the industry thought about carbon fiber frame construction, and his knowledge is a true asset to our brand. One of the goals for the CSG R&D team is to lead the industry in advanced composite technology."
"I am very proud to join the CSG team," said Denk. "They have a long history of innovative product development, and I am inspired by the strength of our team. I'm thrilled by the opportunities ahead to create industry-changing designs."
Denk has more than 18 years of bike industry experience with suspension and carbon fiber frame design, manufacturing, and testing.
