Marin Announces 2018 Lineup

New models, new builds and plenty of value

Our homepage is already bursting at the seams with 2018 model announcements, but Marin has some news of its own. The California brand is expanding its lineup for next year, with some new models and some new build options for existing ones. Check ’em out below.

 

B-17

The B-17 is a new model that blends Marin’s MultiTrac linkage with 27.5-plus tires. This aluminum trail ripper comes in three builds, ranging in price from $2,100 to $3,700.

Rift Zone 3

The 120-millimeter-travel, 29-inch-wheeled Rift Zone is the closest thing to an XC bike within Marin’s lineup. This updated aluminum version comes in three builds ranging from $1,550 to $2,650

Hawk Hill 3

Starting at $1,500, the Hawk Hill is a value-oriented trail bike with 27.5-inch tires and 120 millimeters of travel packed into its aluminum frame. For 2018, Marin is adding two higher-end builds: the Hawk Hill 3 and 2.

The Hawk Hill 3 comes with a solid spec, and so do the lower-end builds.

Wolf Ridge 8

Marin is rounding out the build selection for the recently released Wolf Ridge with the $5,200 Wolf Ridge 8. The model comes specced with SRAM’s GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, a RockShox Lyrik fork and Monarch Debonair R shock and Stan’s NoTubes Flow MK3 rims.

Hawk Hill Jr

The Hawk Hill Jr. is exactly what it sounds like—a smaller version of the Hawk Hill. It’s built around 24-inch hoops and comes with air-sprung suspension for a kid-compatible ride. It can also switch over to 26-inch to continue to accommodate your growing grom.

Attack Trail 8

Marin says its Attack Trail model is the bike of choice for its enduro riders. The Attack Trail 8 gets an updated aluminum frame with internal dropper and shifter routing, Enduro sealed bearings and 148 spacing. Pricing starts at $2,650

Alcatraz frameset

The Alcatraz was designed with lots of feedback from Marin’s resident dirt jumper, Matt Jones. A limited number of these aluminum frames will be made.
