The Havoc is Easton’s latest DH offering, and claims to be the lightest dedicated downhill wheelset currently on the market. At 1,870 grams, this is impressive, as the wheelset features an ultra-wide, 23-millimeter internal rim width and UST compatibility. The wheelset is designed around 150-millimeter dropout spacing, but adaptors are available for frames that utilize 157-millimeter spacing. The Havoc is set to retail for $1,000 even.
The new Easton EA70 XCT takes on the role of Easton’s entry-level UST cross-country wheelset. Available in both 26-inch and 29-inch trim, the wheelsets command price tags of $725 and $750 respectively. The EA70 XCT utilizes the same 19-milimeter-wide (measured internally) rim from the upscale EA90 XC wheelset so the weight stays relatively low at 1,670 grams for the 26-inch version.
