Review: Rocky Mountain Instinct 970
There are plusher bikes out there. Lighter bikes as well. Where the Instinct excels, however, is its balance and versatility. I’d happily ride this thing anywhere outside of a bike park. A quick tweak of the geometry and the bike is ready to tackle just about anything. That’s not something you can say of most 29ers.

Exclusive: 2013 Bible Review – Kona Process DL

Exclusive: 2013 Bible Review – BMC Fourstroke FS01 29
02.11.2013
The FS01’s geometry is set somewhere between ‘trail’ and ‘cross-country,’ making it eager to rally through corners and manual through whoops when the track points down. Where other cross-country bikes might start feeling sketchy, this bike just wants to go faster. Our test model broke, but BMC states that this is a first-time failure for this model. Check out the review for more.
Exclusive: 2013 Bible Review – Salsa El Mariachi 2
02.04.2013
Our cross-country test course possessed its share of technical climbs and descents that kept our testers on their toes. Despite that fact, each rider found there was something about the Salsa El Mariachi 2 that made it feel right at home among all the fancier, newfangled rigs.
Exclusive: 2013 Bible Review – Niner Jet 9 Carbon
02.01.2013
Sure, it’d make a competent race bike, but with a 120-millimeter fork and some 2.4-inch tires thrown in the mix—the frame is designed to accommodate both of these things—the Jet 9 Carbon could also prove a capable trail bike.

Specialized S-Works Fate Carbon 29 specialized.com $7,500 The Fate Carbon is one women’s mountain bike where the phrase “pink it and shrink it” does not apply in the slightest–there is not a bit of pink on this bike (that we could find), it’s frame shape is totally different than the men’s version, and it definitely [...]
