Since Morewood’s beginnings 12 years ago, the South African bike company has gone through several aesthetic and corporate identity changes, but the company’s latest change might just be its most anticipated.

For 2011, Morewood will be licensing Dave Weagle’s Split Pivot design. The company says that the Split Pivot design is a good fit the 150mm travel platform partly because the braking neutrality can be tuned independently of acceleration characteristics, and suspension feel can be tuned by varying leverage ratio curves. Morewood claims that this adjustability has allowed them to create the perfect 150-millimeter bike.
