Gear Preview: Chrome’s Champ Cycling Jacket
Chrome’s new wind- and water-resistant Champ jacket is designed to be stealthily functional and blatantly fashionable. It boasts a lined collar, zippered armpit ventilation, mp3 player pocket with internal wire routing, hidden back pocket and articulated elbows. What really makes this jacket shine are the reflectors (no pun intended). The reflective material on the cuffs and back can be tucked away or covered up to keep the nerd factor down during social activities, then untucked for the dark ride home.
The Champ sells for $165 at chrome’s website and comes in either dark brown or dark petrol (navy blue), with sizes ranging from small to extra large.
