After a brief hiatus from the shoe market, Chrome is back with a bigger, stronger line. Its “Red Sole” shoe line has four styles—the Arnhem, Kursk, Midway and Saipan. Each shoe features a gusseted tongue for protection from the elements, reflective heel, stiffened sole for improved pedal power, and a grippy outsole. Design-wise, the shoes offer that hip, but not hipster, style that Chrome is known for.
The Saipan high-top features lots of stylish laces, but also a zippered side that makes the shoes easy to put on and take off. The Arnhem is a bit shorter and has suede uppers with minimal lacing. As the name suggests, the Midway is a mid-top shoe with plenty of laces for maximum security. Those looking for a traditional low-top shoe should dig the Kursk.
The shoes cost between $70 and $90 and are available now at chromesf.com.
