This year CamelBak has teamed up with IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) yet again for the organization's annual membership drive at Interbike. CamelBak has donated 200 of their new 2011 LOBO hydration packs, which feature the company's new Antidote reservoir. The packs will be given to Interbike attendees who join or renew their memberships at the show. Additionally, CamelBak will donate the entirety of the proceeds raised from sales of the new Antidote reservoir at their booth during the show.
IMBA is an organization organized around giving back to the sport, but in a few weeks, industry members and individuals alike have the chance to give back to the organization that gives them so much. IMBA is fortunate to have a broad base of industry support, and nowhere is this more evident than at the Interbike trade show.
“Each year, more of IMBA’s supporters who attend Interbike contact us with creative ways to raise money and awareness for IMBA’s work during the show,” says IMBA development director Rich Cook.
This year's show marks the third time CamelBak has partnered with IMBA for the popular membership promotion.
“IMBA and CamelBak have a long and successful partnership based on our mutual passion for outdoor recreation,” says Sally McCoy, CEO for CamelBak. “Through our support of IMBA’s Public Lands Initiative, CamelBak enables mountain bikers to enjoy low-impact use of sustainable trails on our public lands."
CamelBak also gave the cause a $10,000 boost at this year's Bicycle Leadership Conference, establishing themselves as a key supporter of IMBA's efforts to protect mountain bike access on public lands.
