BIKE Magazine Goes to the Movies
By: Kevin Rouse
Bike magazine traveled to San Diego last weekend to catch the 10th Annual Bicycle Film Festival. From ‘The Birth of Big Air’ to ‘Erik Elstan’s Dragon Shredit!’ the festival lineup was a hugely varied celebration of all things cycling. Highlights included a Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville produced story of Matt Hoffman’s quest for big air, and Riding the Long White Cloud, a Fuel TV documentary that follows seven professional skateboarders on a cycle/skate tour of New Zealand.
Upcoming stops for the festival include Santa Barbara, California, Vienna, Austria, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Boston, Massachusetts. If you’re lucky enough to be in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and check them out. If not, here are a few trailers for your enjoyment.
